Microsoft Copilot Studio credit estimator

Estimate monthly Copilot Studio credits from your agent count, conversation volume and the kinds of answers and actions used. See gross usage, an eligible licensed-user scenario, pay-as-you-go, monthly packs and annual capacity tiers.

This is a browser-only estimate. Your inputs are not sent or saved. The estimate applies the licensed-user percentage uniformly to all selected event types, so change the event counts to model a different mix. Credit rates and public list prices are from Microsoft pages read 6 November 2026; actual billing depends on your contract, configuration and current Microsoft terms.

Average events per conversation

Edit the assumptions, then estimate. No input is sent or stored.

How it works

The estimate multiplies conversations by average selected events and Microsoft’s published credit rates. It separately shows gross usage and a modeled billable total after the eligible licensed-user scenario. Monthly packs are rounded up to full packs. Annual pre-purchase shows the smallest published annual capacity tier that can cover the estimate; Microsoft does not publish a matching dollar price in the cited guidance, so enter your quote to compare.

Worked example

Example: 10 agents × 1,000 conversations each month, with two generative answers and one agent action per conversation, gives 90,000 gross credits monthly. If 40% of conversations meet the included licensed-user conditions, the modeled billable total is 54,000 credits: $540 at the cited pay-as-you-go list price, or three monthly packs at $600. Enter your own quote for annual pre-purchase.

Frequently asked questions

Are licensed users always free? No. Microsoft describes included use for qualifying internal employee-facing agents operating as the authenticated licensed user. It is not a blanket exemption for every user or scenario.

Are agent flows included? Only in the specified licensed scenario with the “When an agent calls the flow” trigger; other flow use may consume credits.

Does this predict my invoice? No. It models the selected event types and stated assumptions, not all product features, agreement discounts, taxes or billing adjustments.
