SPF record checker and lookup counter
Look up a domain's SPF record, follow every include, redirect, a and mx term, and count the DNS lookups against the limit of 10 and the void lookups against the limit of 2.
Only DNS names are sent, from your browser to Cloudflare, after you press the button. The tree and the findings are worked out in your browser. This tool suggests ways to cut lookups but does not write IP lists or a new record for you.
Counting follows RFC 7208: include, redirect, a, mx, ptr and exists each cost one lookup, and the same include used twice costs twice. The exists term uses per-message macros, so it is counted but not resolved, and the extra address lookups for each mx host are not counted toward the limit. Results depend on live DNS and can change; a receiver may see slightly different answers.
